My time will be dedicated to managing individual Education Plans, servicing students in the classroom setting and communicating with the Nor'easter teachers, LMS staff and parents.

HOMEWORK

The student's assignment notebook, personal device, or Edmodo are the best source for knowing what the homework assignment is if they are demonstrating indepedence as a 8th grade student.  I will occasionally send email blasts home with links to resources/information as well as post this information here.

CHECK YOUR EDMODO!!

Teachers  post homework, reminders and sometimes notes!  I do not always post homework here.  We want to work on student independence!  Parents can join Edmodo as a parent and see teacher posts that way too!

 POP = Perseverence, Ownership, Practice!!!

You may not understand it YET, but with POP you will!!!

What is Executive Functioning??

Executive Functioning is the CEO for your brain responsible for guiding and managing thoughts, actions and emotions. Below are the 11 areas of executive functioning that are defined by Peg Dawson in her book Smart but Scattered which refers to “brain based skills that require humans to execute” on a daily basis.
