School Spirit Week begins Monday with School Spirit Day.  Bust out your LMS gear or wear red, white & blue for spirit points!

Monday’s Talent Show audience is open to all.  Come cheer on our talented students!

Don’t forget to bring in your End 68 hours of hunger food donations as well as Box Tops all week!

The Recreation Club is having another session of Kickboxing on Tuesday, February 19th after school in room 209 with Mrs. Kukas.  If you wish to participate, please pick up a permission for from the 6/7th grade office or in room 209.  Spaces are limited and are on a first-come/first serve basis.

Attention all middle school athletes, LMS is starting a Co-Ed Volleyball program for any player looking to learn or improve on the sport of volleyball.  This will be a quick, 4.5-week program starting Wednesday, February 13 and ending Thursday, March 21. Each athlete will get to work on plenty of the basic skills of volleyball with an opportunity to incorporate their skills into team games. 

  • Wednesday - Thursday, February 13 & 14, from 5:00-6:30

  • Monday - Thursday, February 18-21 from 6:00-7:30

  • And the 3 weeks after vacation, Mondays - Thursdays, March 4-21 from 5:00-6:30. 

Players are reminded that they cannot stay at the middle school between the last bell and the start of the volleyball sessions (they can get picked up or go to the public library). Players are also reminded that they cannot enter the building early until one of the coaches has arrived.

Mr. Bernier is collecting work for the Art Annual Book.  Any 8th grader interested in having their work published can submit a piece.

  • No larger than 8.5 x 11

  • Black & white or in color

  • MUST be turned in by Friday, March 8th

All artwork will be returned to you after the book is published, and you will receive an annual of your own.

The month of February is heart health awareness month. We all have friends or family in our life that have suffered or are currently suffering from heart related issues. A loved one dies from cardiovascular disease every 38 seconds. One in four deaths in the United States are caused by heart disease making it the number one killer of men and women. Please remember to wear RED this Friday February 8th in support of Heart Health Month and the Go Red for Women Campaign. February is Heart Health Awareness Month along with the National Go Red for Women Campaign. By donating $1.00 to the cause, you’ll receive a red heart sticker from you’re A period teacher! Teachers, envelopes will be in your mailboxes by Thursday. Please return all envelopes to either Ms. Fraser or Miss Peters mailbox. Thank you!
