8th Grade DC Trip

A highlight of the 8th grade year is our annual trip to Washington, DC.  For the 2019-2020 school year, we are scheduled to be traveling April 21st - April 24th.

Hard to believe that January is already here!  With our trip fast approaching, please be on the lookout for the packet that was mailed home today (January 13th).  This packet includes:

 1.  the Field Trip/Tylenol Form (which is a two-sided form) - this form needs to be filled out on both sides and signed by a parent.  Due by Friday, March 13th

2.  Request for Giving Medication or Treatment - not all students will need this. Those who do, whether they need prescription medications or over-the-counter medications, will need to have this form filled out and signed by both the parent and a physician.  Due by Friday, March 13th along with medications in the original packaging.

3.  Cell phone form - as in the past, we will be allowing students to bring their cell phones to be used at specific times during the trip for calling home.  Please do not call your students while we are on tour. If there is an emergency situation, please call the school.  They will get a message to us and we will be in touch with you.  This form is due by Friday, April 3rd.

Our nurses will be working diligently over the next few months going over these forms in preparation for this trip.  As you can imagine, this is A LOT of work and we appreciate your assistance in getting all forms turned in on time.  They will be reviewing each and every form and will be in touch with you with any questions they may have about your student.

Please mark your calendars for our "Ready to Go" parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th at 7:00 p.m.

We are currently working on the itinerary for the upcoming school year.  We will be going directly to Washington, DC this year which gives us a few extra hours to explore the plethora of sites located in and around our nation's Capitol.  We are SO EXCITED to be able to share this experience with our 8th graders!
